Name a Beneficiary
By naming us as beneficiary, after your lifetime the asset will come to us without going through probate and your estate is entitled to a charitable deduction for the amount of the gift. In addition, you will be enrolled in our Marie Rose Society. Some donors establish new life insurance policies for the charity of their choice. There are significant tax benefits when the donor allows a charity to own the policy or to be named as the irrevocable beneficiary.
Another option is a Life Estate Agreement. This contract is established
when the donor deeds a personal residence, a vacation home, some
property or farm to the Holy Names Sisters Foundation. The donor receives a
charitable tax deduction based on an actuarial value of the remainder.
(Older donors receive a larger tax deduction.) In addition, the donor
may live in the deeded property for as long as he or she chooses. How to Name Us as a Beneficiary
